As the mandatory implementation of electronic invoicing advances in Paraguay, many companies consider data security fundamental when integrating the system.

Here are some key reasons why security is critical in this context:

Protection of sensitive data: Electronic invoicing involves the exchange of sensitive financial information. Robust security is essential to protect this data from theft and misuse.

Regulatory compliance: Paraguay and other countries have specific regulations regarding data privacy and cybersecurity. Companies handling financial information are required to comply with these regulations. Inadequate security can lead to significant legal and financial penalties.

Customer trust: Customers trust that their data is secure when interacting with a company to process electronic invoices. A lack of security can erode this trust and damage the company’s reputation.

Continuous availability: Cybersecurity is not only about protecting data but also ensuring that systems are available when needed. Cyberattacks, such as ransomware, can block access to systems, disrupting business operations.

At ISA Paraguay, we work every day to enhance the security of our products, particularly MiFactura.

Code Security:

  • Our developers use plugins to detect security improvements and prevent vulnerabilities identified by OWASP from being included by mistake.
  • Static code undergoes automated testing implemented by SonarQube, which checks for globally recognized vulnerabilities.
  • Additionally, internal penetration tests are conducted on the application to guarantee its security.

For clients with On-Premise installations, the product is safeguarded within the client’s local infrastructure, adhering to the organization’s defined security measures and policies.

In the Cloud, our service is hosted on IBM Cloud across three separate TIER 3 Data Centers, utilizing container technology.

Containers are protected by multiple layers of security, including traffic analyzers and internet load balancers.

This setup allows for horizontal scalability to support client demand while avoiding service interruptions.

Despite using container technology, we prioritize the privacy of the data we handle. For this reason, we do not operate the application as a multi-tenant solution that mixes data.

Each MiFactura client has their own set of containers and an isolated database separate from others.
